The new LightwaveRF range of products is the result of several years of intensive research and development. JSJS Designs has built on its experiences producing sophisticated environmental control devices in the medical sector and the Home Easy range of RF control devices for B&Q and has produced a unique offering in Smart Home Control that combines high level functionality, quality and desirability, ease of setup and use and, most importantly, affordability.
The new products are completely compatible, self installable, modular and wireless, and the incredible versatility of LightwaveRF allows us to offer solutions for heating, lighting, power, security and even energy management. A broadband connection will allow you to control any LightwaveRF device remotely from a smartphone anywhere there is an internet connection signal. Sophisticated home control is now available to all at an affordable price.
Lighting
The LightwaveRF range offers complete control of domestic lighting, whilst at home or way, via a range of unique high quality wireless devices. Attractively finished in Chrome, Iridium, Brushed Aluminium, Stainless Steel or White Gloss the LightwaveRF Dimmer switches look and operate as standard high class light fittings; however, with the built in magic of LightwaveRF technology the dimmers can be remotely activated by the range of remote controllers, including the LightwaveRF Master wall switch or even an iphone or ipod touch! Plug-in RF dimmers and RF controlled dimmable CFRs (radio-aware CFL) offer mood lighting solutions that can be setup and operated straight from the box. Each unit can act as a standalone or can be integrated with others into a personalised mood lighting setup in your living room that takes just seconds to create and store and then remembers every time.
Power
Attractively finished in Chrome, Iridium, Brushed Aluminium, Stainless steel or White gloss, the LightwaveRF Power Sockets look and operate just like any other standard high class wall sockets. However, with the built in magic of LightwaveRF technology you can now wirelessly link up to any LightwaveRF Controllers and remotely operate your electrical devices; it even works using an iphone or ipod touch! And using the LightwaveRF Socket Locker Remote Control you can also securely lock these sockets too – ideal if you have small children around the house. Best of all the Smart Sockets are installed in the same way as any standard sockets using only a screwdriver, and fit into a standard back box. .
Heating
With the new LightwaveRF radiator valves it is now possible to achieve individual control of all of your radiators without the disruption and cost of installing purpose built zoned heating. The valve replaces your existing radiator valve by simply screwing into place - no tools are required! Set the individual temperature of each radiator from the valve itself or an accompanying wireless wall stat which can manage each radiator in the house. Set timers, cut off temperatures, and even control your individual room temperatures remotely using a smart phone! If linked to a LightwaveRF window switch, the intelligent valves can also automatically switch the radiator on or off if a window is opened or closed, saving energy.
Energy Management
This LightwaveRF Energy Monitor Device allows you to monitor the energy your home is using and simply clips onto your mains power supply cable. In conjunction with the LightwaveRF Wifilink, it will show in real-time your current energy consumption and cost per minute and can be displayed via the internet anywhere in the world, including on your smartphone. Best of all, using the LightwaveRF range you will also be able to act upon your energy data and remotely turn off any unnecessary lighting or electrical devices even if you are away from home, helping to reduce your bills and to help the environment! Utilising the technology present in the LightwaveRF wifilink, JSJS designs also intends to utilise LightwaveRF products to develop sophisticated yet low cost energy management techniques for the home in the near future.
Security / Outdoor
LightwaveRF offers a Wall Mountable PIR Sensor that when activated the sensor will turn on any number of LightwaveRF dimmer switches or sockets that it has been linked to. Utilising the technology present in the LightwaveRF wifilink, JSJS designs also intends to utilise LightwaveRF products to develop smart security for the home in the near future.
Assisted Living
jsjs intends to harness the potential of LightwaveRF for the assisted living market. RF control and interfaces such as the iphone allow convieniant and attractive access to home comforts for elderly and disabled people, as well as remote options for carers. Assessories such as the socket locker, for instance, can greatly aid with dementia care and prevent accidents around the home, whist monitoring using PIR sensors and the wifilink can help to alert friends and family as to the wellbeing of an elderly occupant living alone.
Wifi Link
The LightwaveRF Wifilink allows you to utilise a PC, Smartphone or IPhone to control any of your LightwaveRF devices wirelessly from one place using one single controller! The web link plugs into any standard wireless router with broadband access and allows you instant access anywhere in the world that you have an internet signal on your smart phone. Whilst at home, communicate to any of your devices simply and easily, using a single wifi handset such as an ipod touch, or the same Smartphone you used to turn on the heating remotely from your office! The PC or iphone application allows a full range of customisable sequences, timers allowing you to create your own fully personalised smart-room system: control heating, lighting, security and many more features when and where you want.
Home Easy Range
JSJS Designs contribution to the popular Home Easy brand are an SMS Base Station capable of remote operation by mobile telephone and a handheld communication device, the Handset, for use within the home. These products have been designed to interact, through both infra-red and radio, with a broad range of domestic devices made by third parties, such as TV, DVD, central heating controls, automatic door openers and lighting. Additionally, JSJS used its expertise to enable its UK distributor to develop a comprehensive range of compatible and fully integrated peripheral products.
Universal Handset
The handset is an icon based touch screen remote control device that incorporates a radio and infra-red transmitter with a micro-processor and proprietary software. This enables the user to operate other peripheral devices such as TV, DVD and CD. Most universal controllers only operate a small number of devices, but the Handset is designed to control up to 32 individual RF commands, each of which control a number of devices, including central heating, lighting and door locks.
SMS BaseStation
With the exception of the infrared control the BaseStation has similar functionality to the Handset with the added advantage that it can be operated remotely by most mobile phones. In order to provide security of operation the SMSBaseStation matches the callers automated recognition identity number with the unique set up authorisation code provided on installation. It would therefore be difficult for anyone to either operate or disable the Base Station without the users consent.
Third Party Peripherals
JSJS products are designed to interface easily with third party remote controlled devices, such as door locks and curtain openers. In addition, and in order to provide broader functionality, JSJS Designs has assisted its distributor in designing a range of compatible products, including radio controlled plugs and dimmer switches.
